Granddad's Page

The above picture (removed, space problem!) has on the back "Dad in my togs 1930".

Percy Vivian Cobham - 47376 - Private - 'B' Company - 3rd King's Liverpool Regiment - enlisted  27 July 1916

1) This is my Granddad, but unfortunately, not in the King's Liverpool Regiment uniform, but that of the Royal Artillery.  His son, Horace's uniform.

2) I have read that the 3rd King's Liverpool never served in France!!  My Granddad definitely did.

3) Also served in The Labour Corps (642364).  What is this??

(Told, by his pay number, he must have joined Labour Corps in Summer1918).

4) He got the the Victory & British Medals.  Where are they??  (Suspect will never be answered!!).

The photograph was not taken in France, but on "The Devils Wall", Aughton, Ormskirk. (now called Gorse Hill Reservoir).
